This fanzine-style series of films charts the less celebrated era between the Glory Years of Don Revie, and the renaissance under Howard Wilkinson. It is not a Greatest Hits compilation, but a look at the Good, the Bad & the Ugly of following Leeds United from Paris in 1975, through the management of Armfield, Stein, Adamson, Clarke, Gray and Bremner. Commencing in the days before domestic vhs recordings, these films aim to fill the gap in commercial video releases, using contemporary music and rare film footage. It is not a commercial venture but a fan project, a labour of love and a cathartic journey.
Still on the lookout for video of matches from 1980 onwards. Happy to trade, swap, digitise so we all end up seeing these in best quality. In particular, does anyone have copies of the 1980s Telvista match recordings?

Clough did well to buy McKenzie. John McGovern stitched up by the Leeds players. Top player. Beckenbauer really rated him.
What about ‘21 to ‘65
The ref clapping Worthington's goal....
We can not be excellent in all departments of the game, all is fair, and being human,
Common the next season has 83/84 to drop soon ?
For 86-87 use the single version edit of China T’Pau it would fit very well with that season.
Leeds are a wilderness club. Sorry,but it's true. #knowyourplace
Songs and artists: at 0:03; 0:14, 12:38; and 16:23 minutes, please?
Ah the good ole dsys bad team bad attendance...even worse team even worse attendance...folks want entertainment and a bit of good footballhelps
Any news on next videos?
Pesky day job getting in the way at the moment. But pictures gathered, mostly written, just needs to be edited.
Paul hart was a liability Own goals and defensive mistakes in abundance!!
Great days, when you could turn up and pay cash at the turnstiles
That was an absolute bag of tit-wank.
Dumb supporters.
All superb, i was at Eddie Grsy's final game with my dad RIP, the left back cluldnt touch Eddie and had to be subbed, EG was still total class.
You can see Leppings Lane then already way to many people in there
And Coventry thought they had it tough with their offside goal at Wembley...
Jordan was a decent player but his career goal stats are unimpressive ,a goal every 4.5 games or so
8:06 "& turned in by Megson". That should be Lord Gary Megson, if you please :)
Jock had his Damned United but not the bitterness.
What a goal from Gary Hampson.
The fa have always hated leeds
Do one from 04 to 2022
Of course it was a penalty! And of course it was a goal! SHAME Referee! SHAME UEFA!
Scott Sellars silky left foot brilliant for my team Blackburn Rovers he played for us just before the Dalglish revolution at Ewood
I'm a Blackburn fan and I've always had a soft spot for Leeds utd we had some epic battles in the 90s 👍 these video's are fantastic best history of a club and music of the time on youtube in my opinion BRFCmark 👍
TONY CURRIE GREAT PLAYER .LEEDS GREAT CLUB....
2 EUROPEAN FINALS THAT LEEDS GOT ROBBED ( 1973 THESSALONIKI 1975 PARIS)
Arsenal fan here. This is a brilliant video, capturing what supporting a club entailed back then. Great footage of that first replay.
Alan Clarkes famous words il win a big trophy within 3 years lmao.
Not a Leeds fan per se,but grew up watching them as a kid& just loved football & they were a fantastic side, with so many qualty players& so org..and if i recall got robbed in the European Cup final ( which was most def dodgy back then)
My first Newcastle away game as a young lad. I remember somebody set fire to the grass behind the away stand ⬛️⬜️
Didn’t we have to wear Chelsea’s socks in that game, however conflicting reports are to wether they were white or yellow, and even some old pictures are inconclusive?
Terry Connor and big Frank - the right men at the right club at the wrong time. Connor later admitted that, once first division defenders sussed him out, he should have dropped back into the reserves to add more to his game, but Leeds were too starved of resources to do so. Even if they had survived the drop, it's difficult to imagine that team lasting much longer in the top flight. It needed a complete root and branch but the funds were too low to do so.
They changed the programme date for the Forest home game but not for the Liverpool home game - weird! These are superbly put together.
Was at this game red hot day and currie made his debut against Giles
These films would make a great TV series. So well put together..some serious skills.
I was there the Zulus were waiting at New Station too, they gave us a right kicking.
I'm a Chelsea fan and I was at that game,we won 5-0 to gain promotion and it was my Halifax/ Leeds whites mates who smashed up that scoreboard And,to be honest,it meeded smashing up! 😅
To think Leeds got rid of Brian Clough after 44 days,I know hindsight is a great thing But to quote Jim Bowen from Bullseye 'Look what you could have won'
As an Evertonian....Duncan McKenzie really was Magic!!....was Magic!!...was Magic!!....💙
Gray was still a class player. Leppimgs lane Limbs!
M.O.T.
Alan Clarke one of the worst managers leeds have had! Not as bad as Adamson but at least Adamson didn't get us relegated 😡
Great Wilderness Years I love the way the music and news of the times blends with the Mighty LUFC ups and downs MOT Craig :)
Still in the wilderness 😂
we make occasional trips to the promised land and then decide the wilderness is where we belong!😎
Whats changed in nearly 50 years
Although I’m arsenal love these old Leeds united downloads and seeing football back when I started going to arsenal home/away in the early 80s.These are superb to watch and I’ve got a soft spot for Leeds in the late 70s early 80s as long as they don’t do well v arsenal of course which mostly they didn’t 😂
Peter Lorimer was brilliant. A £100 million footballer if he was at his peak today...
At 4 minutes 30 seconds...Is that what i think it is ?...
